We are advocates that one pay
all taxes one is liable for. Through education and diligent
study one can attempt to make sure that one is paying all the
taxes one is liable for. With this in mind be aware that one
also has the right to reduce one’s taxes to the extent
the law allows. The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled
on this matter as follows:
“The legal right of a taxpayer to decrease the amount of what
otherwise would be his taxes, or altogether avoid them, by means
which the law permits, cannot be doubted” (see Gregory v
Helvering, 293 U.S. 465, 55 S.Ct. 266).
The TEA2 educational process begins by focusing on three
components, Contract(s), Jurisdiction and Status and the
relationship of those components to the voluntary nature of the
Social Security Tax and the Income Tax.
“Your income tax is 100 percent voluntary tax, and your
liquor tax is 100 percent enforced tax. Now, the situation is as
different as night and day. Consequently, your same rules just
will not apply,……” . Testimony of Dwight E. Avis, head of
Bureau of Internal Revenue, subcommittee hearings, Eighty Third
Congress.
“You are among the millions of Americans who comply with the
tax law voluntarily.”
From a note from Commissioner of Internal Revenue Shirley D.
Peterson.
